The creation of this directory was facilitated by the Middle Georgia Regional Commission in collaboration with the Middle Georgia Historic Preservation Advisory Committee (HPAC). Membership in the HPAC is comprised of representatives from the 11 counties and 20 cities of the Middle Georgia Region, and includes architects, landscape architects, convention and visitor bureau directors, Main Street and Better Hometown managers, historical society presidents and other community leaders, all of whom are dedicated to preserving the rich history and heritage of the Middle Georgia Region.
